Learning to code is often considered a difficult task by a beginner. However, it is not as tough as they think. There are plenty of online resources available that can teach you how to code from scratch. To learn to code, all you need is your dedication and time.
I’ve been spending about 2-4 hrs/day teaching myself to program for the past few months from different free online resources. Here’s some good stuff I’ve used to boost my coding skills and also recommend you to check it:

Personally graded, video-then-program format problems, starting with a toy language called Karel and moving up to Javascript, culminating in you making the game Breakout in your browser. They have probably forty hours of really good content and, most importantly, provide you friendly, one-on-one help with around three hours turnaround when you need it.
2. KhanAcademy
Created in 2006 by educator Salman Khan, Khan Academy is one of the original free online-learning institutions. With step-by-step video tutorials, you can learn how to program drawings, animations, and games using JavaScript and ProcessingJS, or learn how to create web pages with HTML and CSS.
3. Udemy
It was founded in 2010 and is a great online learning platform that can be used as a way to improve or learn job skills. While there are courses you have to pay for, there are plenty of free programming courses, which are taught via video lessons, such as Become an Android Developer from Scratch , Learn Responsive Web Development from Scratch and many more. It is one of the most popular sites that offer courses at cheap prices.
4. Github
Sometimes, you need to recall a reference book when you’re stuck on a problem. That’s GitHub. You can find more than 500 free programming books that cover more than 80 different programming languages on the popular web-based Git repository hosting service, which means that it’s frequently updated by collaborators.
5. Hack.pledge()
This is a community of developers, which include some high-profile developers such as Bram Cohen, the inventor of BitTorrent. There, you can perfect your programming skills by learning from some of the leading developers in the world.
6. TheCodePlayer
On the CodePlayer, you can watch interactive presentations that explain how people built things from scratch. Once you become a coding expert, you can add your own presentations to teach others what you know. It’s actually fun to learn from this site.
7. Udacity
Udacity is a very famous brand and has been in the market for years now. It is for Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs). Apart from coding, you will get to know many other things too. It is like a social network analysis. It’s almost like a college without a diploma degree. Organizations like Google have a detailed course on Android Apps, and consequently, ios apps also have courses well within reach. Generally, it is free but some courses have fees for one on one tuition. This is a worth trying the website for coders. The best thing I like about this is their interactive way of teaching you. While most video tutorials bore me, I don’t feel any of it tutorials boring. You should definitely try this.
8. FreeCodeCamp
Here you’ll learn HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Databases, DevTools, Node.js, Angular.js and Agile by networking and joining a community of professionals and students. You’ll even work together on your coding skills so that you can build apps for free. Here’s the catch: you’re learning those skills and building helps to help solve real-world problems. Code is available to nonprofits.
I joined in July this year. It teaches you how to code from scratch to become Full Stack Web Developer. On completion of course, it says to offer job opportunities. You also get certificate if you complete different sections of course such as Front End Development, Back End Development. If you’re interested in becoming Web Developer, it’s the best site to start with.
9. TreeHouse
Treehouse is another top notch consistent player in the MARKET. With a 14-day free testing, $25 is charged for the primary account and $49 for a specialist and you will find to learn almost anything with the proper material. You will get excellent videos, interactive quiz, forums exercises and expert reviews to make your journey to learn coding easier.
10. Code Avengers
Based out of New Zealand, Code Avengers provides fun and interactive programming courses that will teach you how to code games, apps and websites using JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Each course takes just 12 hours to complete and is available in English, Russian, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Turkish and Portuguese.
